Lunar New Year Hot Pot

Hot Pot (a Lunar New Year classic) is interactive, requiring guests to cook their own ingredients in a spicy Szechuanese broth. Taking inspiration from children’s nonfiction sticker books, I paired images with footnotes to create a non-traditional menu that would mirror this experiential meal.

For this event, I created illustrated infographics to create a “tutorial” that was informative yet not stuffy. Inspiration came from modern food illustration posters, textbook infographics and abstract symbolic drawings.
