2020 - in progress
Clink Zine, produced by Gan Bei Gals, strives to extract compelling food stories from a primarily Asian American community and preserve them in print. This zine was first concepted during the height of the pandemic when need for connection and comfort was high and will feature 11 nostalgic recipes and anecdotes that carry memories of comfort and family.
This dot-com-y style was chosen to reflect the age of web design from the nostaligic 90s when I had daily access to my mom’s Taiwanese cooking and thought my dad’s boxy PC was strange. The result is a series of unique illustrations that are geometric, balanced within chaos and clearly created in a computer program.
